Global Context
The fire project presents itself across the globe because Juvenile delinquency is global issue because youth share the common risk of delinquency such as poverty and abusive family dynamics. In Africa juvenile delinquency is developed due to poverty, unemployment and basic need of survival. Many juveniles live in poor urban slums and housing. Mental health disorders are seen in Africa because violence is spread out. For instance, young children grow up in negative and poor atmosphere and they mentally and physically observed violence. This affects their behavior because children are most likely to develop behavior from their environmental setting. Juvenile delinquency is associated with economic problems as a result of homelessness or unemployment and social issues. For instance, according to Juvenile Justice around the World, “families where abuse, dysfunction, or neglect is encounter and youth around the world are more prone to engage in substance abuse, vandalism, or other forms of delinquency”. For this reason, the livelihood of delinquent behavior is increased due to their juvenile’s environmental circumstances.
